Last Friday saw the whole Almeda family come together to celebrate Christmas in true fashion. Held near Almeda’s HQ in Keynsham, the party took place at Keynsham Rugby Ground. The whole team were out in force to celebrate the festive season, coming together to create some merry cheer.
The Almedians enjoyed an evening of fantastic food courtesy of our ethical catering division, food with passion while our Engineer Pete became our resident DJ for the evening, entertaining everyone with some selective hits! The team were also treated to some festive themed games, such as reindeer ring toss and Christmas themed face masks.
Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day
The event followed the team in Redwood House supporting Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children by wearing some of their most creative seasonal knitwear. We’re hugely proud of everyone’s efforts and delighted to announce that we raised over £80 for this worthy cause.
Prince’s Trust Future Steps Challenge
The night was a great opportunity for the Almeda family to come together and reconnect after a busy and productive year, while making plans for the New Year to come. One topic of discussion surrounded our active participation in the Prince’s Trust Future Steps challenge taking place in January, where teams are challenged to reach their 10,000 steps a day per person. Not only does this help promote the importance that we place on health and wellness, but also raises money for such a fantastic organisation such as the Prince’s Trust.
Lots of ideas were thrown around about how to pick up those extra steps, including taking stairs instead of lifts, getting off at earlier bus stops and walking from home into the office, rather than driving.
The night ended with a bang with individuals carrying on the festivities into Bristol, while on route stopping to donate excess food from the party to those less fortunate.
Merry Christmas everyone!
