Almeda crowned Employer of the Year Award at Business Leader Awards 2016!

Business Leader Awards

The Almeda team celebrated a fantastic result at the Business Leader Awards 2016 last night after walking away with the coveted Employer of the Year Award.

The Business Leader Awards are the most prestigious and celebrated business event of the year in Bristol and the South West. The high profile event was held at The Bristol Hotel in the centre of Bristol’s city and was hosted by Clive Coleman, the BBC’s legal correspondent and comedy writer.

The evening brought together the most influential leaders in business to recognise and celebrate business success. Covering 14 categories, the evening celebrated a wealth of successes from hardworking and innovative businesses whose principal activity or head office is based in the Bristol city region.

Winners of Employer of the Year

The team were over the moon to be awarded the distinguished Employer of the Year. This accolade recognises organisations that have created a stimulating and supportive work environment and a real commitment to the welfare of its employees.

This award demonstrates how two of our six core values – we build positive teams and a family spirit, and we strive for personal and professional growth – are truly integral to our culture and core to everything that we do.

The judges were looking for positive leadership and management, an integrated ethical culture, a clear human resources policy, employee engagement, excellence in staff retention alongside development and schemes and training initiatives that have contributed towards the development of staff.

Shortlisted for Business of the Year and Business in the Community Award

Almeda were also incredibly honoured to be one of three businesses shortlisted for both the Business of the Year and Business in the Community award, another success following our previous recognition at the Institute of Directors South West Corporate Responsibility Award.

Business of the Year celebrates the innovative and successful business growth, while Business in the Community championing those that have made a significant positive impact within the community and to the lives of individuals within them.

A huge congratulations to all finalists and winners for their incredible work and achievements.
