Almeda sponsor BIFM SW Quarterly Training Day

BIFM South West Region

We are delighted to announce our sponsorship for the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) South West Quarterly Training Day, taking place in September.

The Quarterly Training Days take place throughout the year and are fantastic opportunities for BIFM members to come together and discuss relevant topics within the industry. The events are always very popular with BIFM members, promoting active discussion and participation, collaboration and networking opportunities.

Previous themes in 2016 have included ‘Security planning and awareness’ and ‘Environmental management’. The final session of the season will focus on ‘Understanding the principles of your commercial leases and legislation update’.

Legislation and Compliance

Held at the Hilton Bristol Hotel on the 16th September, this Quarterly Training Day will look at Legislation and Compliance. A superb speaker team is lined up and will be sharing their expertise with attendees. It promises to be another full day of learning among like-minded Facilities Management professionals.

Almeda on hot topics

Richard Frost, Operations Director and Gordon Cox, Operations Director from Almeda will take centre stage for the keynote speech that opens the event, setting the tone for the day. They will reflect on hot topics surrounding compliance in regards to both our Facilities Management offering and food with passion.

Attention will be paid to effective Facilities Management Health and Safety compliance, the provision of food information to consumers alongside effective allergen rules, rounded off with discussion around food trends in the workplace environment with a particular emphasis on local, organic and sustainable produce.

Discussions throughout the day will then continue, ranging from topics around the theme of Legislation and Compliance. BIFM members will be guided through how to maximizing recruitment agencies, information on fire safety and major incident management and chemical regulations and hazards. The agenda will close with a crisis management exercise for all attendees to participate in.

At the end of the day will see a business card draw for attendees where a number of lucky individuals will win donated prizes, with a raffle for BIFM’s chosen charity.
