Almeda Summit goes down a storm

Almeda team Almeda SummitThe whole team turned out in force for our recent Annual Almeda Summit, taking place at the innovate offices of Triodos Bank in Central Bristol. The day was a fantastic opportunity for the growing Almedian community to come together and celebrate the company’s achievements over the past 12 months.

 

Celebrating latest successes

 

Managing Director Brady George offered a warm welcome to everyone and took the opportunity to share the great successes that Almeda has achieved over the past year. These ranged from a successful and streamlined team restructure, being shortlisted for eight awards while being awarded four and the launch of our new ethical and sustainable workplace catering division food with passion.

 

Operations Directors Richard Frost and Gordon Cox alongside Associate Director Ben Arbery also took the opportunity to update the team on the latest developments in both the Facilities Management and food with passion sides of the business.

 

The day took particular focus around our six core values, with a workshop taking place where every member of the team explored how they can continue to maintain and improve how we embed our values into everything that we do every day.

 

New Almedians welcomed

The latest members of the team were welcomed into the Almeda family. In total 15 new Almedians were welcomed into the fold since joining in April this year. Each new member of the team was welcomed on stage and shared a little about themselves. Interests ranged from enjoying mountain biking and motor sport to travelling to the North Pole, not once but twice!

 

Our Facilities Engineer Pete became resident DJ for the day, creating an uplifting playlist and tailoring music to each speaker, providing a wealth of entertainment! A cake sale and dress down day were also worked into the event, with money being raised for Macmillan Cancer Support. Food with passion similarly provided a wealth of healthy food from fresh juices and salads to delicious rolls.

 

The day was rounded off with a series of workplace games, ranging from giant jenga to hula hooping, trampolining and croquet, enabling a real team building spirit.
