Almeda are pleased to have helped Knowle West Media Centre gain some fantastic equipment, collected from NVIDIA and Hanson, two of the companies that we provide facilities management services for.
Inspiring creativity in the Bristol community
Located just South of Bristol, Knowle West Media Centre (KWMC) supports people to make positive changes in their lives and communities, using technology and the arts to come up with creative solutions to problems and explore new ways of doing things.
The arts organisation and charity is based in South Bristol and is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. KWMC’s activities range from after-school groups for young people exploring media and technology, to a digital manufacturing space and a comprehensive arts and exhibition programme.
Recycled equipment given a new lease of life
Almeda organised for recycled equipment to be collected by KWMC, which includes headphones, computer cables, keyboards, screens and laptops from NVIDIA.
Equally, coffee tables, meeting tables, seating and breakfast bars were given by Hanson, following their café refurbishment and the opening of our new catering division on the site.
Almeda – we care about people, communities and the environment
By organising the transfer of these electrical and furniture items, Almeda are helping to make a positive impact; both in the community and the wider environment. Had these items not been given a new home, they could have ended up as waste. Fortunately, our duty of care to the community and environment enabled us to think of a creative use for the items instead.
By showcasing our positive initiatives, it is clear to see how we can help property owners make the most of their businesses. With genuine care for people and the environment, we can provide more effective property services, including sustainable, hard and soft facilities management.
