Almeda supports the Matthew Tree Project

We are always looking for productive ways that we can re-use things and donate unwanted furniture to causes like the Matthew Tree Project.

Almeda got involved recently with the Matthew Tree Project to support local poverty donate otherwise unwanted furniture to those most in need.

Please take a look at their website to find out more about this fantastic charity.

Feedback from The Matthew Tree Project:

‘Hi Chris,

I just wanted to say another massive ‘thank you’ for all of the incredible furniture and household bits and bobs that you donated to our clients at The Matthew Tree Project.  We finished redistributing it this week, and I really cannot thank you enough!

As you know, what we do is about so much more than just food.  This may sound a bit extreme but your kindness really has completely transformed the lives of many of our clients this Christmas.  We gave the bed and mattresses to a family who literally just had three plastic chairs in the flat that they were living – I really can’t convey how grateful they were.  It was also such an honour to be able to provide lots of our clients with everyday household essentials that we take for granted – knives, cutlery, plates etc.  I must stress again that many of the people that we help have absolutely nothing to call their own.  To be able to provide them with these things at Christmas time was a double blessing!  Every single client asked me to pass on their thanks and how grateful they are, so thank you so, so much!

Saying ‘thank you’ doesn’t really convey how grateful I and all at The Matthew Tree Project are to you and your colleagues, but I hope that you realise how much of a difference you have made to the work that we have been able to do over the winter months!
